Honor Flight is a heartwarming documentary about four living World War II veterans and a Midwest community coming together to give them the trip of a lifetime. Volunteers race against the clock to fly thousands of WWII veterans to Washington, DC to see the memorial constructed for them in 2005, nearly
60 years after the War.
The film features four WWII veterans. Each tells their haunting war stories and beautiful post-war life stories as they embark on their own Honor Flight.

Come on out and share this amazing experience!

Every Day is a Bonus
Photographer Courtney Lutz chats with volunteers and veterans on the flight back from Washington, DC.
Her shirt reads, “Every day is a bonus," the motto of the Wisconsin-based Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
The term was first coined by World War II veteran, Joe Demler, upon his liberation from a Nazi prison
camp. He weighed just 70 lbs.
